Finally we are there...

So after the 14 hour flight to Tokyo and then a 2 hour layover and a 45 minute flight to Sendai we have finally arrived. Here are the kids at our apartment opening all the surprises daddy got them. Finally we are together as a family.

AND WE'RE OFF!!!

Ok, so I have been slacking a little on my blog so I am trying to do a little catch up. But here we are finally getting ready to take off on our 14 hour flight to Japan to go be with daddy. We are all so excited and the time couldn't go by fast enough. The flight went as smooth as it possibly could with 4 kids. My mom was on the flight but she was in the back of the plane and was not aloud to come to first class. I did take Cullen back a couple of times to get a little relief but they were a little strict about me going back and forth. But for some reason I didn't get a picture of Tanner but rest assure he was there with us.

Tanner & Skyler's Birthday Party

Even though Tanner and Skyler's birthday are not until the end of June and the beginning of July, we decided to have their birthday parties before we left for Japan since we will not be here on their actual birthdays. We had at a place called Monkey Bizness and the kids had a blast. Here are some pictures from the party.

Preston, Enzo and Tanner waiting on everyone to arrive. Not sure what the hand signals are but I guess their all about world peace.

Cullen's MRI

Cullen had a MRI done on his back this past week at Texas Children's Hospital. He has a mark on his lower back that the dermatologist wanted to make sure wasn't the cause of something internal. After the results, we found out that Cullen has a VERY SUBTLE form of spina bifida occulta. Which is really nothing and sounds a whole lot worse than it really is. All it really means is a minor fault involving one vertebra in the lower back. It is very common and there is no treatment for it and they do nothing for it. In fact doctors believe that a lot of people have it and don't ever find out about it.
This is Cullen before any of the pricking started. Just as happy as can be.

This is Cullen after they put his IV in his arm after a failed attempt in his foot. I felt really bad for Cullen because they had a real hard time finding a vein because he is so chuncky. It's hard getting through all that meat on his bones.

This was Cullen after the hour long procedure was over. Sleeping like a baby.

And this is the sweet boy once he woke up. He is such a love and woke up just as happy as ever. And hungry as ever too since he couldn't eat or drink after midnight the night before and the MRI wasn't til 10:30 the next morning.

Gotta love him!!!
